Audity
Privacy Policy
Effective November 2026
The short version: Audity does not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your music, server details, and sign-in information stay between your device and the servers you choose to connect to. We have no servers of our own that receive your data.
Who we are
Audity is made by Moriarty Studios, LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains how Audity handles information on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. If you have questions about privacy, email privacy@moriartystudios.com.
Information we collect
None. Audity does not collect personal information, and we do not receive any information about you or how you use the app. Audity contains no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking, and it does not use third-party advertising or analytics services.
Information stored on your device
To work, Audity needs to know how to reach your music server. The following stays on your device:
- Server details you enter, such as server addresses and usernames.
- Passwords and access tokens, which are stored in the Apple Keychain on your device.
- App settings and cached data, such as preferences, artwork, and downloaded music for offline listening.
We cannot see this information. Deleting Audity removes it from your device.
Your music servers
Audity connects directly from your device to the servers you set up, such as Navidrome or other Subsonic-compatible servers, Plex, or Jellyfin. Your requests and music stream between your device and those servers without passing through us.
Those servers are run by you or by whoever operates them, and their own privacy practices apply. If you sign in to a Plex account, that sign-in is handled by Plex and is covered by Plex's privacy policy.
Apple services
Apple may collect some information when you download, buy, or use apps, as described in Apple's privacy policy. For example:
- App Store purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
- Crash reports and diagnostics may be shared with us by Apple only if you have chosen to share them with app developers in your device settings. These reports do not identify you personally, and we use them only to fix problems.
- TestFlight beta testing: if you join the Audity beta, Apple shares the email address you used to accept the invitation and any feedback, screenshots, or crash reports you choose to submit. We use these only to run the beta and improve the app.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and do not share it. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you, and delete them on request.
Your rights
Because Audity does not collect personal data, the only personal information we may hold is what you send us by email or share through TestFlight. We handle that information on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering your questions and running the beta.
Depending on where you live, including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email privacy@moriartystudios.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Audity is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If Audity's data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
